About Judee's

Judee's was founded in 1983 when Judee Gartland decided to start a business after raising three children as a stay-at-home mom. She started as a Wardrobe and Image Consultant out of the house, but soon started selling a few dresses and necklaces hanging in a closet. After the dining room was completely overrun by inventory, she opened a small shop in downtown LaPorte, IN in February 1987. After moving to a second larger location in 1990, Judee's made one final move in 1995 to the current location, a beautiful Victorian landmark built in 1880. With just over 4,000 square feet of floor space, there is room for each "occasion" to have their own distinct location in the store.
